I heart camping. I really do. Falling asleep to the sound of the river, waking up to the smell of fresh mountain air, grilling, laughing over a campfire, catching fish, not taking a shower for several days… it’s like nothing else. When I met Georgia and found out that she too loved camping and not only loved it, but had all the coolest camping gadgets – well that sealed the deal. I feel so blessed that our state is surrounded by the beautiful mountains and that they are all within a few hours drive. Growing up, my family always traveled east to camp, however now with Georgia’s family being from Penasco, and Anthony having property in Pecos, we do most of our camping up north which I love.
For this trip we were lucky enough to camp on the most AMAZING property belonging to a friend of Anthony’s family. The land was equipped with river access, horseshoes, volleyball, a fire pit, the works! We met up with our friends Anthony and Brandon, Chris and Leo and their son Roman. The weekend flew by but we had such a great time. Here are a few pics of our Pecos adventure :)
Here is our cute little campground. Thanks for the hook-up Emily!
Anthony, G and Brandon chillin in the river (where we spent the majority of our time)
Anthony and me!
Brandon jumped in the river at the crack of dawn. It was way too early and cold for the rest of us to dare get in pre-breakfast.
Getting the coffee brewin!
Georgia was so excited to use her new little burner and coffee maker :)
Leo, Chris and Roman joined us Saturday morning
RIVER PLANKING… well sort of
There is nothing better than camping breakfast!
Having fun in the river. The water was so nice :)
For volleyball, all couples had to be on opposing teams.
Without G there to pick up the slack I pretty much suck. My team lost… lol!
Cheers to a great weekend!
