Baby Brother // Newborn Photos

Grab a chair and brace yourself for some serious cuteness, friends! These photos may be the most precious pictures I’ll ever see.

There are very few things that I feel we missed out on when Gracie was a newborn. We lived it up with our little love, celebrating every bit of her sweet newness. And while Georgia and I took a whole lot of pictures of our baby girl, one thing that we didn’t do was have newborn professional pictures taken when she was brand-new. Instead, we had a friend snap a couple of pictures of her in our home when she was almost a month old. We missed that window of time when she was truly a newborn and because we don’t have a whole lot of windows in the front rooms of our home, the pictures that we did get were really dark, which was a total bummer.

This time around I was determined to capture our sweet boy and all of his teenie tiny brand-new baby deliciousness! We weren’t really sure whom to go with for the photos, as all the photographers we’ve worked with in the past don’t work with newborns; so we took our search to FB. One post later, the recommendations began flooding in and Melanie Maxine Photography was a name that popped up in my feed several times. It only took a quick review of MMP’s website and Insta.gram and I was sold. She was amazing and fit us in that week and the rest is history. Such adorable history!

You guys, there aren’t enough words to describe how in LOVE we are with every single picture that Melanie took of our sweet babies! When we went to the reveal session a few weeks ago, Melanie had a slideshow presentation that she created for us, set to music and projected on a large screen in her studio that had Georgia and I in tears. Yes, even Georgia cried! As we viewed these oh so special pictures, I just couldn’t believe that this was our life and that these precious little loves are our babies. They are ours to love and treasure for the rest of our lives and the emotion in that is captured in each of these pictures. Especially the ones of our sweet little loves together. Brother and sister, melting their mamas hearts.

Melanie and her husband were amazing with the kids and adored Will and all of that fuzzy baby hair of his! The one-hour session that we paid for turned into a 4-hour session and both kiddos did amazing. Honestly, the most difficult thing that we encountered working with MMP was selecting our favorites for the package we purchased because we LOVED them all! I mean seriously, what’s more adorable than a new baby wrapped up in a basket or snuggled up next to his beautiful sister?! Our hearts feel as though they could explode every time we see them!

We have since created birth announcements that were mailed out 2 weeks ago and now that friends and family have received them in the mail, I can finally share our favorite images here on the blog! Yay!

Our babies. God is good.

{Here is William’s birth announcement, which I absolutely LOVE as well as a few behind the scenes pictures from our session.}

He was so tiny! :)

  1. Those pics are so precious! I love them all and wouldn't be able to choose either. :)

    1. Thanks so much Stacey! Now to decide which to frame and hang! We need a bigger house, lol.

    2. I think you'll need a collage one to squeeze a bunch of them in together and then blow up a nice one or two. That's what I would do with way too many to choose from. :P

    3. I would LOVE to do that, we just need a bigger house, LOL! My walls were filled up years ago, so now I have to replace pictures with new ones as they're taken. I need more walls!!!

  2. Oh my gosh, all the cutes!

Thanks so much for keeping up with our little family! We love reading your comments and will get back to you as soon as we can.

K+G+g+w ♥
