* Go to a holiday party – Check!

Holy holiday craziness Batman! Christmas is in full swing around these parts and we’re checking stuff of our Holiday Bucket List at rapid speed! It’s nuts to think that tomorrow’s December 11th, which means that we will officially have an EIGHT MONTH OLD and we’ll be just 14 days from Christmas. Yeah, you heard that right – Christmas is just 2 weeks away! There’s so much I hope to fit into the next two weeks, but there’s a part of me that knows there just isn’t enough time for everything. This is what motivated me to make a Holiday Bucket List and to do my best not to list too many special events or super expensive outings, because I knew, there’s just never enough time… That and I really want my little fam to enjoy our first Christmas as a family of 4, minus the stress that overbooking tends to create!

Will’s “baby’s 1st Christmas” ornaments arrived on Friday and we LOVE them! We ordered a stainless steel ornament with one of our favorite newborn pics from little dude’s newborn photo session, when he was just weeks old and while the coloring turned out much brighter than the proof, we still love it to bits! We also ordered a “Siblings 1st Christmas Together” ornament and it’s my absolute favorite! The design of the ornament is printed on a small piece of wood and it’s so stinkin’ adorable. G and I are big on collecting ornaments. Our tree is packed full of different ones from nearly every trip we’ve taken and all the special moments of Gracie’s life over the past 5 years and adding these special ornaments for our sweet boy had us feeling all the feels!

Speaking of Gracie, she made me so dang proud this past week that my heart nearly burst! This year was the first Christmas that she filled her bag of toys to donate to other kiddos in need, with zero fuss over giving her things away and it only took her about an hour! This used to take days and was such a hard thing for her to do. The whole experience showed me just what a big girl she is, with an even bigger heart! She makes me so proud!

In other news, there’s a new tree in our tree lot for Brother Bear! We now decorate 10 trees at Christmas time, up from 9. Yes, it’s a lot and yes, we love every single one. Especially the one covered in puppies, baseballs and peace signs! We waited a long time for this last tree and at times I still can’t believe that we finally have a reason to add to our little tree lot!
When Will’s older he’ll get to have this tree in his room at Christmas time, but for now, it will reside in our tree lot, lookin' all cute!

This weekend we also attended my Christmas work party, which I planned and pulled off along with a few co-workers! I don’t know if I’ve mentioned that following maternity leave, my position in the HR department changed and now includes a clinical education component, as well as management of employee engagement. This means that I’m in charge of all special events for the corporation. It also means that I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off at this year’s Christmas party, so much so that the only picture I took was this one of the company tree, lol! I’m sad that I didn’t have a chance to take a picture of Georgia because she looked so pretty, but oh well, maybe next year. :)

And that about wraps it up for now. Gracie had her Christmas Concert this past week and it was the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen! We also attended the Old Town Holiday Shop & Stroll, so blog posts on all that will be coming soon! Merry almost-Christmas, friends! I hope you’re loving the holidays as much as we are!

    1. Thanks friend - I LOVE, love it too! It's so funny to compare this Christmas to last Christmas. We were so swamped with baby prep stuff and G was exhausted in her 2nd trimester, that we didn't do nearly what we normally do for the holidays. It's been fun to be back in the spirit of Christmas! I hope you're having a good one too! :)
